Split into 2 groups First 20 minutes
Group A – work on scripts (will be assessed) for Match of the Day style shoot
Gary Lineker plus Alan Hansen and Alan Shearer (or two ex footballers Maradona and Michel Platini) Make them have amusing voices

Group B – work on scripts (will be assessed) for players who were in the match – J N F W B were all playing – make it funny ‘game with two halves’ – ‘the side who scored the most goals won’ – pretend it was a premier league match and they are PL players – have an interpreter for one of them – make it funny

The actors need to learn the words
START FILMING – no looking at bits of paper
The films will be assessed by you as well as me

TASK
You need to edit the footage you shot into a smooth, professional film at least 2 minutes long. It must have Titles (text captions), transitions, video effects and music.

FIRST in Macintosh – free up some hard drive space
Go to your ‘Little House’ (Home drive) – (see how much space you have)
FIND the aspen folder – DELETE IT
Go to movies- imovie events – delete these
Go to movies – imovie projects – delete these
EMPTY your TRASH CAN
(Now see how much space you have – should be a lot more)

LAUNCH Windows Movie Maker

LOOK AT the WMV files you shot yesterday – CHOOSE the ones you want to use (write down the numbers)

START EDITING

In your groups
Spend 5 minutes looking at the footage you shot before
See how much camera shake you had
Length of clips (should be short)
Framing of shots
How limited the sound is

Spend 15 minutes making a storyboard for a 2-3 minute film called ‘Helping a stranger’
e.g. The stranger drops their purse/wallet – you get it back to them
Maybe the stranger doesn’t want your help
e.g. You find someone who appears lost – you take them to a police officer – but they turn out to be a robber and the police officer runs after them (You would need some way of showing the Police Officer – maybe a sign attached to them)
Giving directions
Maybe the stranger is lost – s/he asks for directions – but you actually take them there yourself.

Write in what titles (text) you will use
Think about the music you can put over it
What shots (Close/Mid/Long) will you use

You should have one cameraman
Use the other members of your group as the actors

– Film in small takes
– Don’t keep the camera rolling
– Should be silent movie style (you can add text in titles)

1 Hour to film
DON’T go out of the school grounds/hardplatz
DON’T go on the main road
DON’T go by the lake
